   • Disadvantages: Contains plastic components and other additives, lacks universally accepted biodegradable certification12.

2. Sugarcane Pulp Tableware:

   • Material: Made from 100% sugarcane pulp and falls under the category of pulp tableware.
   • Biodegradability: 100% compostable and biodegradable, possesses internationally recognized decomposition certifications such as BPI, EN13432, OK-Compost.
   • Advantages: Made of 100% plant fiber material, completely biodegradable, with internationally recognized decomposition certification.
   • Disadvantages: The material is relatively soft, but this usually does not affect practical use1.

In summary, cornstarch tableware is similar to plastic in terms of hardness but contains non-biodegradable components, while sugarcane pulp tableware is made entirely of biodegradable plant fibers but is relatively softer in material. Each of these types of tableware has its own strengths and weaknesses, and the choice can be made based on specific needs and environmental considerations.
